He was off going for a swim off the coast of florida when he stepped on something he describes as "what felt like the softest carpet", and once this bizarre creature moved out of the sand under the water it began to wrap around him, "for a a couple of seconds it, felt really nice" he said but after that his skin started to have a mild itchy sensation. What he did realize was his skin was absorbing tens of thousands of microscopic organisms from this carpet-like sea creature which lead to his whole body completely red, blistered and his skin facing numerous bacterial infections. "It's like nothing else I can describe, excruciating is beyond an under statement" he said, the outcome of his condition still remains unclear.

You have to be careful in the ocean, it's not the friendliest place at times. Had my run ins with jelly fish and close calls with stingrays.

And stepped on a few sea urchins.

But never was dumb enough to swim in pods of bait fish or wear shiny jewelry in the waters of the Keys. Bait pods are shark buffets and shiny things are barracuda crack.

BTW, did you see the recent pics from Hallandale Beach? (Between Miami and Hollywood)

İmage

Oh man. That's friggin' crazy. Yeah, I had an urchin run in as well - brushed up against it with my hand and a thousand knives proceeded to slice the crap out of me.
Big fun.

Yeah, they are nasty. Vinegar knocks it right out, though.

Really friendly.

Admit it- it liked you because you used to blow your tokes into its face and got it high.

They are an invasive species in south Florida (One of several) that are destroying the banks of canals and waterways and are equally devastating to property. Like the Lionfish, we need to make them a food source and get rid of as many as possible.

Yes, you can eat them and they are supposedly quite tasty.
