Yep, there are four palm trees here and they keep surviving our Canadian Winters. When I'm there I think of the tropics. cheers.gif[/u]

Quote:

Canada has proven to be an acceptable growing location for Windmill and Palmetto Palm trees (but those palms in the picture I posted don't look like the two mentioned???)

Cant wait! yay.gif Woo hoo, it's beautiful out there!

Us, due to living in Florida for years, I figured Palmetto palms could take it, but after doing some homework; found out there are quite a few species that are very tolerant to cold.
Octo and I were surprised to see plenty of palms in Amsterdam.

Blue sky here also. I'm organising a barbecue for the guests this weekend. Maybe that should read - I'm organising a barbecue of the guests...chuckle.gif

Seriously though. It is nice to see someone having fun and just enjoying life. Not too much of that happening these days.

Report back as and when you can Rog.

I'm so happy for you guys with all your warm and sunny things... bored.gif

Cloudy and chilly here, but it's not raining for once.

Btw, those Cypress Trees look a little like our Larch trees. They used them to make masts for ships back in ye olde days since they grow so tall and straight. cheers.gif
