i go to the doctors that bulk bill, meaning they swipe your Medicare card and you pay nothing. There used to be lots of bulk billing GPs but now most you pay for, but Medicare will subsidise the visit. So you might pay $40 to see the gp, but you get back prob about 80% of that. Not Exactly sure, but if you see the same doctor again tge next week for same prob or test results he will bulk bill the visit so you only get hit with the cost once.

i guess gp = general practitioner? ^^

yeah... most people are very fearful... and not flexible at all.

the big problem is most Americans don't want a socialised healthcare system cause they think its bad, when its the actual opposite. Brainwashed since the 50's.
americans were under the impression that is what Obama care would be rofl.gif HE LIED

he did lie and made a deal with the devil..the big insurance companies ..he said if you like your plan you can keep it until the hammer came down and people found out how expensive the co pays premiums and duductables would be ..hospitals here started laying off employees because their reimbursement from the insurance companies would be piddly and the insurance companies walk away with a big cheesy grin on their face ..

Obamacare is shït, don't know why they bothered if that's the result. The govt needs full control of the whole system to change it and model it on australias. But that constitution wont allow that. Such a weird culture.
