Elderly flight passenger throws coins into engine for ‘luck’, delays take-off for hours

Yeah well doubt they would've done damage to anything since most coins are soft (cheap) metal. But...you never know.

Yeah well doubt they would've done damage to anything since most coins are soft (cheap) metal.  But...you never know.

The intermediate compressor is made from aluminum, while the high pressure section nearer the intense heat of the combustor is made of nickel and titanium alloys.

Birds have brought many planes down, and that is just bone.
