This kid was able to cruise the Chernobyl area on her Motorcycle, cataloging the decades after the Ukraine disaster.

This is what Northern Japan has to look forward to, if it is lucky.

There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes!

They're actually organizing day trips to Chernobyl damned.gif

Quote:It was the scene of one of the world's worst modern disasters, now visitors can experience this radioactive wasteland on a guided tour.

New Logic (00 380 44 206 3322; newlogic.com.ua) offers tours for up to two people for £210, including transport, English-speaking guide and lunch.

Other operators include Sam Travel (00 380 44 238 6959; sam.com.ua) and Solo East Travel (00 380 44 989 3315; tourkiev.com.ua).

You must organise your own group and cannot join an existing tour. British Airways flies from London Heathrow to Kiev daily from £235 including taxes.

One of the ghost/monster chasing tv show crews spent the night in Chernobyl a few years ago. That was one spooky place.

Several years ago, I saw a documentary about Chernobyl. They showed footage of workers cleaning debris out of the reactors soon after the meltdown. Those guys were wearing nothing more than those white paper suits with gas masks. They were walking out a rooftop door carrying blocks, walking across a roof, tossing the blocks off and falling off themselves. They were being killed by the radiation within minutes of starting work. As you can imagine, it was very disturbing.

Here they are! Those poor workers. I remembered gas masks but it seems they were just common surgical masks. The video clips of them dieing was shot from a distance.
