I will state again, if you want to eat good, find out how from your living ancestors, especially those who survived war
Or any gov't orchestrated deprivation.

You're just trolling me now whip.gif

My Grandma is still alive but she doesn't cook anymore, not because she can't, she doesn't have to bleh.gif

I grew up on post-war cooking, but I'm saving those skills for times ahead. I don't want to make JR cry chuckle.gif

Yeah, I was born just after the Battle of Hastings.

Trolling ?, nah, I'm on a roll this morning.

There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes!

I knew you were old but jeez... damned.gif

I agree though, young people here too are becoming pussies and think including blood in a meal or eat a moose tongue is gross. But going to Thailand trying out some roasted crickets and centipedes is cool? Pfft coffeetime.gif

Try some potato and garlic soup, creamed, you'll be hooked.
And, you won't smell like a Korean.

You cant even buy gizzards and livers here gaah.gif It goes to the dogfood companies, the Finns don't traditionally eat that, so they don't bother to make it available. Of course, thats the case with so many things, once introduced the Finns enjoy it as well as anyone. If you give people choices they take advantage, the potatoes and herring is quite the joke these days.
Selection has come a long way from when I arrived nearly 5-1/2 years ago.

Which I inherited / liberated from my mother. When I went to University. Well actually when I packed I forgot to buy plates and such culinary devices. So just took them from the cupboard before leaving, all those years ago.chuckle.gif I had planned to survive off beer and takeaway, favorite restaurant grub alone. But learning with students from all over the world opened me up to culinary delights from far off places, among other things.
