Turkey is a NATO country so yes, they can call for backup from their NATO pals I would imagine.

Forty people were killed and 100 injured when several explosions struck a city in southern Turkey, near the border with Syria, Turkish media reported quoting officials.

In initial comments, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said nearly 20 people died in the blast.

"We have around 20 dead and 46 people were injured, but we have to note that many of the injuries are severe, which means the death toll could unfortunately rise," he said.

It remains unclear how many explosions took place with conflicting reports of two and four blasts emerging."Two car [bombs] were set off in front of the municipality," Interior Minister Muammer Güler said, adding that one of the car bombs exploded outside the city hall while the other went off outside the post office.

A municipality building was severely damaged by one of the explosions, Reyhanli Mayor Huseyin Sanverdi said.

Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu said at least 15 ambulances rushed to the scene to help the injured, AP reported.

coffeetime.gif It's all the fault of Syria. Yeah... that's the ticket. gaah.gif Just kill my logical brain so I can get all kinds of ğkkin' snuggle doodles with Western democracy at gunpoint.
Everything would be so much better without logic.
