WASHINGTON — President Trump has fired the director of the F.B.I., James B. Comey, over his handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, the White House said on Tuesday.

Comey brought this on himself ~ his testimony before Congress has done nothing but reveal his ineptitude. He has as much as admitted his malfeasance and dereliction of duty.

Tell me, how could any CEO keep such an abysmal failure in the VP line-up?

I'm surprised Trump hasn't already announced Comey's replacement.

I recall Comey saying when Trump was elected. That he was a appointed official and he would decide when to step down.

He was politically motivated and highly incompetent.
Disregarding criminal acts while focusing on intent.
INTENT?
With ordinary people, intent makes no difference, if you brake the law, you go to jail.

The democrats are now saying that he fired Comey to throw a wrench in the gears of the Russian meddling investigation. Despite blaming Comey for Hillary Clinton’s loss, former campaign aides defended him.
Elizabeth Warren stated ‘Comey Was Fired Because of the Russians’.
CNN’s Toobin said the firing a ‘Grotesque Abuse of Power’. This narrative will go on for the foreseeable future and I'm bored with this already.

If I were in Hillary's heels, Id be very apprehensive about Comey getting fired.

She's gone on several talk shows saying Comey and Russia were the reason why she lost, but now that Comey is gone the Democrats and media are crying foul. The new director will be going over all that material, and I have a suspicion that's what this is all about.

I believe Trump is going to go after everyone at the top of the last administration, and no one is exempt. That's the reason they are already crying "the Russians" in an attempt to deflect their position of being mouth deep in doo doo.

The way I see it, seeing some effort... even baby steps... of responsibility from both sides of the aisle would be friggin' miraculous.
She owns and owes her loss by failing to reach out to the middle class, and failure to garner support from Sanders supporters.
Better luck to Dems next time, but I can tell you, the path to winning isn't hounding Trump for firing Comey whom Hillary blames for losing her the election the election in the first place.
