Wait, I want one.

Funny you should post that comic, because hubby and I started off married life with a waterbed...but not for long because I am also a tosser and turner.

Thankfully the waterbed era was really short over here  chuckle.gif Fun as a novelty thing, but I wouldn't want to ride those waves long term anon.gif

The inventor of the water bed, Charlie Hall, intends to bring the waterbed back.

I was seasick once on an older type cruise ship decades ago and it was horrible, but I got my sea legs after 24 hours and it was pretty good after that. I never got sick on our waterbed but I didn't sleep well with the movement. It seems the new waterbeds have separate sleep zones now, so that it good.

Well I would hope there's some new features   chuckle.gif  I like our new mattress as there's absolutely no ripple transfer through the mattress even if you jump on it next to your sleeping partner*.

* (I haven't actually tried it, but I bet like 100 shiny euros that's the case)

Some of the kids get hurt on the air mattress launches.

This launch of a child is done somewhat more safety IMO.

Now my sis wants the same mattress I just bought and she intends to order it by phoning the store.

No she wanted to buy the same one just from my description of it. But she didn't phone in an order yet and the bed is being delivered later today, so I'll make sure she tries it before she buys it.

So how was your first night on the new mattress?

My 20-y.o. Select Comfort has been giving me fits lately,

It has twin airbags. The side I sleep on stays full in one section but not on the other side. Baffles maybe? This creates a valley and a hill. So a friend helped me switch it out due to my disability that makes doing simple things a challenge.

Well maybe we got distracted and didn't do the switch correctly because the other airbag appears to be full, but my airbag is suffering the same problem as before.

If you've ever tried to sleep on the side of a hill, you'll understand just how challenging it can be.

Well for a medium firmness it sure feels like extra firm bleh.gif Maybe I just have to break it in or have some kids visit and have them jump on it for a couple hours. 13.gif

I never liked sleeping on an air mattress.
