It's global warming

As many people resident in Finland already know, May was an exceptionally cold month. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute FMI, the last time May daytime temperatures were this low was in 1969.

Looks like it's warming up next week though which is good because nobody wants to wear mittens in June... bored.gif

So ready for some warm temps.

They say it's going to get warmer next week. It's not going under 10C during the iron nights the forecast claims. For now 13.gif

Quote:At this time of year, average daytime highs in Helsinki should be around 17 degrees, and even up north, highs should be above 10 degrees.

Those are Celsius degrees. It varies wildly, some years we get snow in October and some years we don't have snow for Christmas even. I'd say about half of the last 10 Christmases have been snowless here. Usually you plant only hardy stuff outside in May and I was told to keep my tomato plants indoors until mid-June.

This morning was absolutely horrendous. 20 m/s (45 mph) northern winds and sleet aaah2.gif
