Sounds like a win by the ppl but have no idea how your health care is but im sure you dont want privatization.
I could be wrong , what is your thought here ?

We do have private medical providers as well as universal health care. You can have an extensive private health care insurance via any insurance company of your choice and some of it is subsidized by the govt (tax money), but you can have health care without private insurance as well.

And the cap is set to €572 per year for your medical bills before the system kicks in and starts subsidizing your cost.

Quote:Annual maximum limit on out-of-pocket costs

The part of the price of reimbursable prescription products that you pay yourself counts towards your annual maximum limit on out-of-pocket costs. If the medicines you buy are not covered by the reimbursement system, they also do not count towards the annual maximum.

In 2019, the annual maximum is set at €572. If you reach it, you become entitled to an additional reimbursement for your medicine costs. That means that you only pay a €2.50 copayment for your medicines for the rest of the year. You cannot be reimbursed for a new batch of medicine until you have used nearly all of the previous batch at the indicated dosage.

Any purchases of medicines, clinical nutrients and emollient creams covered by the reimbursement system count towards the annual maximum. The initial deductible also counts towards the annual out-of-pocket maximum. However, should the price of the medicine exceed the reference price, the exceeding part does not count towards the annual maximum.

No, we don't have a socialist govt. Or the one that resigned wasn't. We have an election coming up next month though so it'll be interesting to see what happens. I have no clue who to vote for

I never know who to vote for, so if one of the candidates entices me with free dental care, I'm voting for them.
