Went to the link, I thought I was shy, no more. I'd be considered an extrovert over there.
Otherwise, it does sound like a place I could adapt to.

There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes!

What's wrong with being casually touched by someone standing too close?

They always say all that like it's a bad thing chuckle.gif

In fact, the beautiful mind-yer-own-bidniz-and-we'll-get-along-just-fine
part of the folk soul only makes me love this place even more!

The weather might suck dinosaur more than half the year,
but this be the home of the Free North.

And the women are gorgeous. chuckle.gif

YOU KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN IN FINLAND TOO LONG, WHEN.....

When a stranger on the street smiles at you:

a) you assume he is drunk
b) he is insane
c) he's an American

Damn...this "spring" reminds me more and more of the 1976 one.
Didn't get my boat on the water until after Midsummer - too cold
for the paint to dry. 13.gif

Ice on any and all open water surfaces in morning shadow over here :O
Still in longjohns, light snowfall this morning, + 2 dgrs C right now, in
spite of rather sunny skies.

Sun angle, length of day etc totally wrong for the temperature...
starting to feel a little bit eerie, to be honest.
Even the bloody urban seagulls are S:ing TFU in the midst of mating
season, yikes! 13.gif

Now there's the true Finnish Mother Of Nightmares:
- Summer canceled.

People died like flies around here in 1867, last time it happened...

That may well be, but I'd expect it to not break out for real
before the week after Midsummer/first week of July, if the
old signs hold like the spring of '76 13.gif

Same here, but I think those situations border more on social phobias than anything else.
