The mushrooms in Kanta-Häme (Finland) still contains too much radioactivity from the Chernobyl accident.
A spot check found a mushroom containing 1800 bequerel per kg. The European Commission's recommendation is 600 bequerel maximum quantity that may be present in natural products.
Hämeenlinna health inspectors reported the study's findings on Tuesday. The investigation and its outcome is linked to the Food Safety Authority nationwide survey.
In Päijät-Häme has already received similar results.
To soak or boil the mushrooms lowers efficiently their radioactivity.
