Quote: The Antonio Vilas Boas case (1957) and the Hill abduction (1961) were the first cases of UFO abduction to earn widespread attention.

Quote: Skeptics argue that the raw details of abduction accounts have been featured in science fiction since at least the 1930s and that these details have had widespread currency, thereby influencing and shaping expectations of what an encounter with extraterrestrials might entail.

For example, a 1935 issue of Amazing Stories featured on its cover an illustration of a being with large eyes and a large head who was restraining a human from entering a room where another human was reclined on a table with another large eyed creature examining her.

Interesting read. Oddly, I tend to believe this is far more common than thought.
There are quite a few people here that have had similar experiences.

I mean like think about how the mainstream medias and nobody else either were openly talking about being abducted by aliens prior to and during the 1930s and 1940s and into the early 1950s and most people probably never even imagined that happening to them back then...

But then suddenly arriving for many people to see and read and start thinking and talking about in 1935 and beyond was this prophetic and disturbingly strange magazine cover art and weird story within...

The human male restrained by the alien seems to be wearing prehistoric stone age animal skin fur clothing and the apparently abducted female being examined by another alien was probably similarly dressed...
