Foreign Born Doctors - A Potential Problem For The Lives and Health of Americans

"At the same time that the nation is discussing Obamacare, immigration is a second domestic policy question capturing our attention. Often seen as distinct issues, there is, in fact, an important connection between these two policy questions. The American Medical Association estimates that foreign-born doctors constitute approximately 27 percent of the U.S. physician workforce, nearly double the proportion of foreign born in the population as a whole. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who receive their medical degrees from countries outside the US, represent one interesting thread linking the two policy discussions. Many of these physicians arrive on a temporary J-1 visa under the Conrad 30 program." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-witt...19595.html

The number of foreign born doctors is projected to grow under Obamacare to make up for physicians who are leaving the field to pursue other interests and to account for the supposed influx of new patients into the field. One may wonder if this result was always a part of the plan and the reason that this was pushed.

With the recent debate concerning who we are letting into the country under these visa programs, in the aftermath of various terror attacks, and the discussion that this has spawned, and is ongoing, concerning the compatibility of western ideals with the cultures that tend to adhere to a vitriolic practices that encourage their people to wage Jihad on the west, it seems that this is one area of vulnerability that Americans should not ignore.

We have considered whether a loyal supporter of Islam and someone who agrees with Sharia law can faithfully execute their oath in a political office to adhere to the United States Constitution, but have we stopped to consider how such beliefs might impact their willingness to carry out the Hippocratic Oath? Would there be any greater tool by which to wage a silent Jihad and eliminate non-believers or infidels than having a large degree of access to a nation's medical industry?

It seems to me that this is something that Americans should really stop to consider.
