I'm not that familiar with tcm, there's not that many Chinese around here. I only know a couple of them living here in my town and neither of them are into medicine. They're both very nice people though.

I'm more interested in local medicinal herbs. The reason many wild animals are hunted and slaughtered into extinction is because of tcm 13.gif Sure they can use all the cockroaches in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Quote:Doctors in Finland have a very different status to those in China. In China, doctors generally enjoy very high social prestige whereas in Finland, doctors are often just one of the many social service professionals.

She needs to get used to it, there's no celebrity culture here either. When Octo and I went to the Finnish equivalent of the Emmys for being nominated for best animated series, local people stared at us but never once said shït about it.

I'm of the opinion that there's plenty of medicinal herbs growing everywhere. I think it would be a tragedy if Chinese medicine would be regarded as the only way to treat ailments. Medicine men and women have been around forever everywhere and I just refuse to believe tcm is the only alternative.

A lot of the local herbs... (including a damn good strain of landrace ruderalis) the Shamans used has been lost to antiquity.

well who said it was?

i doubt they would be able to be the only one to treat ppl.

bigpharma has that way more covered than tcm or other alternative med.
more ppl will simply stick with the pills etc than try anything else.
or even read about it lol.

Interestingly, my mom is on cancer treatment big pharma style sad2.gif I've been advising her what to do about the side effects. She doesn't trust my self taught knowledge so she asks my little sister who is a nurse. My kid sister asks me for advise ffsi.

i know. that is one thing i had to learn lol
i have seen a few threads, on different forums over the last 3 years from ppl
who say they really really need help and will consider anything, and to please suggest stuff for what they have.
so i posted things i learned.. and even though they said oh please post anything, mine always got ignored lol
so i stopped that for the most part.
it is kinda hard to see ppl ask and then say ğck that.. but you gotta. they dont care so..

and yeah little sisters will do that lol

not that i would know anything about it.. 13.gif

Thats why they pulverize the ingredients. People tend to balk when they the bug parts in their tea.

yeah well i guess.

i never got prescribed that, fortunately.. though there were some ingredients i didnt care for.
the tea tastes terrible lol

after the first time i had it, i apologized to my mug.

All formulas taste like crap. 90% of them have licorice to improve the taste, as, opposed to its medicinal properties.
Cockroach is used mostly to break up blood stasis secondary to trauma. We used it a lot for the Kung fu guys. It works topically as well as internally.

I've never personally seen a cockroach irl except in exotic exhibitions. That doesn't mean we don't have them, I hear people from "other places" bring them here.

We as a species wouldn't have survived as long as we have unless we adapted to our environment and eat what it provides. Sure it's cold here, but it also means we have to rely on other things than bugs to survive whew.gif

well i wouldnt say tcm is promoting it.
they use it, as a treatment.. but not in every case of course.. and i dont think they
recommend it as a snack.

They're not. It's the US pharmaceutical cos who are buying them. Our cockroachs are nothing like the ones used in tcm really. These vids are of Western roaches being bred in China. Here we kill them.
Nestlé, in conjunction with WHO, want tcm taken over by big pharm. And mds prescribing herbs. Which will be disastrous on a huge scale.
Asshole mds will kill people with herbs, and the herbs will be blamed, instead of the mds ineptitude.

The UN has publically stated that the unwashed masses, in the usa especially, need to start eating bugs as an alternative protein source, as meat is going to be come scarce...
When bugs are served at the white house, I will eat them too. Until then, they can ğck off.
