We are getting our first snow tonight and tomorrow!

Somewhere between 2 and 6 inches.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Winter here, -12 and snowed all day yesterday except not much stayed on the ground. Miserable outside now gaah.gif fuck I hate being stuck inside. I made bread sticks and burned them so the ravens got lunch. I toss them outside the yard fence but close enough the dogs can scare the ravens trying to grab them, a little pay-back for the way those ravens tease my dogs all day lol.

Quote:The opening event of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, planned for the Finnish ski resort of Levi in mid-November, has been cancelled. Competition General Secretary Mikko Saarinen said the lack of snow and mild forecast made the decision inevitable.

It's normal, I'm just sniveling 'cause we never had much of a summer.

rofl.gif it is entertaining those ravens are so funny. They puff all up and try and look big and scary, hopping sideways to grab a piece of bread. Don't know what would happen if my dog ever did get hold of one. They're very smart too, the street lights in town are light sensitive, when it gets dark they come on. So the ravens have figured out that if they roost on one, they can make the light come on which warms them. When it gets cold you can see ravens on every streetlight, drives the city insane rofl.gif

It was 11C and sunny here yesterday. Will hit 6C today and 3 tomorrow. As usual for here, most of the snow will fall at night tonight and only a couple of inches tomorrow. It will probably be mixed with a little rain and since our temps have been decent the ground is not cold enough to hold snow for long. It will melt quickly. It's just the start.

rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif smart birds. There are metal caps on top of telephone poles here and the woodpeckers use that for communication. In the spring it sounds like enormous old fashioned phones ringing all around town chuckle.gif

chuckle.gif That military clock took some getting used to, was way more difficult than temp conversions, I can pretty much do those in my head now, it gets fuzzy with minus degrees though, and -30 F and -30 C are the same temp. 13.gif That's cold as hell anyway.
