What's the sentiment there on putting her party/her back in again?
Her party won that election in Saarland a week or two ago, do you think it's a given that her party, and of course - Mrs Merkel, will win the national election in September or could this be a surprise like the US election?
Are ze Germanz zat predictable? 13.gif

actually... you don't elect the bundeskanzler. you elect the party. the party provides you with a bundeskanzler candidate during the election and usually votes for that guy after the election but they don't have to. blonde.gif
this is how it works (it's a little bit more complicated though): you and your fellow citizens vote for a party. there are limited seats in the bundestag. after the election each party gets a number of seats in the bundestag according to the percentage of voters. now the bundestag votes for a bundeskanzler candidate. of course the parties will vote for their own candidates - that's why you can deduce from a CDU-win that merkel is going to be bundeskanzlerin.
but it's a bit more complicated than that. for example the bundespräsident has to actually nominate the bundeskanzler candidates. he's the guy with the most power in germany. if he doesn't sign a law that the bundestag spat out the law won't become effective. at the same time it has been agreed upon that he only "represents" germany. which actually means that this guy is going to sign every fkn law they put in front of him. blonde.gif
it's really complicated.  15.gif

btw you're not allowed to libel the bundespräsident... minimum sentence is 3 months in prison. max sentence is 5 years. no fines. blonde.gif

edit: but if she wins i'm going to be like

chuckle.gif I hear that...
Maybe you didn't get it from my post, ("her party, and of course - Mrs Merkel") but yeah,  tis similar here, in that the majority part chooses the PM.
Anyway, what I'm getting at is other than yourself, do others express that it may be time to put someone else in charge?
Does anyone there even discuss such things?

the majority of people i meet are against merkel's refugees and want them out again. it would surprise me if merkel would win another election. most people i know are fed up with her - even immigrants who came here some time ago.

all over germany the pegida movement has risen and the "alternative für deutschland" ("alternative option for germany") which has been founded in 2013 gained more than just a little bit of influence.

the guys from the left spectrum of course love merkel's politics. but those are the same guys who literally write "bomber harris do it again" on their banners so...

Interesting, so the left and the MSM give her the she can do no wrong treatment. That didn't work out for Hillary.
