Yes I would say so. I think most people have had some paranormal experiences that can't be explained by this experiment.

Then I ask myself, if my grieving triggered that phenomenon, then why was the visitation right 'in my face' and not on my peripheral (as the study suggests) and also why when my brother passed away did I not experience a visitation?

We saw objects being physically moved in the air, glass shatter on it's own, I was physically grabbed, and it could make physical objects go away and reappear in a different location.
What we lived with is damn near a book, it's pretty extensive, and verifiable by Accidental Stoner, another member here, has lived there, he knows. And Octo's sister and our friend who often visited said "she" physically appeared to them.

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

A few years ago my sister was up at our Grandmas old cabin. It has been empty for many years and my sister was there, digging up some berry bushes by the house, when someone pounded on the wall (from the inside) right where she was at. I guess Grandma wasn't happy about it.

I once lived (alone) in a second floor apartment in an old house (in Toronto), where a mist would appear now and again in my dining room...again, 'right in my face' happenings. I never told anyone, but on two occasions, when I was entertaining friends, it would appear and I would show everyone. Their reactions ranged from stark terror and they immediately left me there all alone...to...questioning what it was. We could not debunk it at all. I was studying baking techniques at the time, I wonder if that had something to do with it? chuckle.gif

Ever try taking any photographs or film?!

Maybe you could actually conjure it at will and then try filming it like wow if you dare to?!

Imo he she it or they are probably not harmful for if it was the thing probably could have already easily done so?!

Exactly.

There was some scientist in the 90s who did experiments getting people to wear these helmets with electromagnets on them or something that stimulated a sense of another presence.

I think our brains are wired for it for a reason that perhaps we've since lost. Colin Wilson used to write about stuff along those lines.

I just tried to make the best of it...live with it. Many times I would just have to walk (with gusto) right through the mist to get to my kitchen. It always stayed put in the dining room when it did materialize. It left me alone, so I left it alone and I have many witnesses.

hmm.gif Did it seem like it could be a non interactive haunting? Like a film roll that just repeats itself over and over when conditions are favorable?

In thinking about it now, it seemed to materialize moreso when I had lots of people over...maybe it liked to party. dunno.gif Or fed off fear because I did not fear it whereas quite a few of my friends did fear it. Of course, after a while, quite a few friends would not come over any more, so it was just me and it, and then hubby started coming over almost every day when we were dating so he and it had to co-exist too. We tried everything to debunk it and involved the neighbours of the building, but the mist did not materialize in their apartments...only mine, and nobody had any explanations.
