Glass of wine with dinner is bad for you.

Or if you produce too much stomach acid like JR, you don't want to be eating high acidic fruits either.

There are a lot of factors at play here. I just read an article on our local news about the impact of stress on your body. It says the long term stress inhibits the production of hydrochloric acid in your body which in turn causes heartburn and an acidic stomach environment.

Sure, maybe avoiding acidic fruits helps, but that's just alleviating symptoms of a much bigger problem.

Again, whole body studies aren't being done where all factors are being taken into consideration. Perhaps multi-disciplinary sciences need to merge for a more comprehensive look.

yeah thats why we have to find out for ourselves..

which is actually a good thing.
i like the internet for that..
it is one thing i appreciate about it alot.

finding out what herbs do what for example..
and of course foods too.
of course you know i appreciate tcm concept, and one reason for that is they believe food is medicine, as said here:

http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-5048/Food...ecret.html

but lots of different things like that i have researched about.

baking soda is supposed to help balance stomach acid, i have tried that when i had heartburn and it works.

ever try it?

I never had heartburn damned.gif

But yeah, I'm totally into the concept of “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”

My Grandma always took baking soda for heartburn. It's an old trick and it works I hear.

No actually I'm not being truthful when I say I never had heartburn, I did a little when I was pregnant. A tsp of cream cured that in an instant.

well i had alot of trouble with digestion. it came from all the 'medications' i was given for a couple years.

this was, of course, before i knew about tcm.

but as i learned wtf they did to me i was not impressed at all.

Where there is the will, there should be a way.
