Lots of people in USA carry guns yet no one shot back at the one doing the killings WHY ?

"Ocker the thought on those cartoons is the people took in guns that guns are not allowed so no law abiding citizen can shoot back at them."

I should have used the word where instead of that guns are not allowed...

If the law says you cannot carry a firearm in to a school or place then law abiding citizens will not. Look at the signs on the buildings/no guns. So law abiding citizens can't shoot back without a gun.

That's the whole point, if it became illegal to own guns then the law abiding citizens would turn theirs in while the bad guys would not so only the bad guys would have guns.

Ocker there are so many guns in the USA

Oh yeah, most people have no clue just how many there are. Unless you've lived there, the mind has a hard time grasping it.

Same thing here. There are many hunters here as well and they have more than one gun. Finland is the 3rd most armed country in the world or something like that. Gun laws have been tightened these past few years due to 2 IDENTICAL school shootings, so it's getting increasingly more difficult to get a gun.

By design. coffeetime.gif

Shoot I have at least 8-shotguns, 4-rifles and 4-pistols. 4 of the 8 shotguns are family heirlooms but still hunt with them. Most everybody in Texas has multiple guns. Usually you don't hunt small birds with the same shotgun as you do big Canadian Geese. Rifles, some rifles for varmint shooting while others for Deer and up to Elk and Moose.

Pistols, my wife had a revolver .357 mag and I have a .22 semi auto for plinking in the country, 44 mag and a Colt 1911 .45acp for carry.

So 16-guns I guess and I know how to use them quite well.

Oh noes, I'd never kill anything I didn't intend to eat. And when I do I pay proper respect.

I'd eat that any day over any "industry meat".

Introduce them at close range, then hit the bar (letting them have an intimate discussion). Annapolis has great oyster shooters that are just to die for.

Gang Members ?

HA !

I lived in L.A. with my guns

i had no problem keeping them in line

automatic weapons ?

I own them

that's how i kept the Gangsters in line

Crazies ?

You mean Diane Fienstien ?

Lock her up

real simple that lmao.gif

Cynical you seem to have a very level headed approach that I like. Your prose is starting to grow on me.

We will have to part company on automatic weapons. Do not believe it is worth the hassle.

I'm a big fan of the crowd pleaser, a 9 shot 12 gauge. Prefer semi-auto but a Marlin 560 works just fine. 2s or 6s for home defense (don't want to scare the neighbors too much) and 00 when I want to get serious.

Sadly you are spot on about the Senator from California.

I'm a simple farm boy. A crowd pleaser, a 45 auto or 44 magnum (I have strong wrists so I actually like the magnum), and a 300 Win Mag and I am pretty happy and ready to face life with a smile.

However it is nice to know there are weapon aficionados out there.

People had a more comfortable relationship with reality back then

I noticed that to. People don't like reality as much as they used to. Modern people talk and act as though their wants or viewpoint creates reality. People used to think reality was reality.

Nowadays people gather "facts" to support their view, rather than changing their view to match the facts.

Back to the guns things. I'm in the "cold dead hands" and "better to be tried by 12 than buried by one" camp.
