[/quote]But once the lines start forming it will be too late. Banks will have no choice but to limit withdrawals and close their doors (even to safe deposit box owners), because they will not have enough cash on hand to meet demand 13.gif

Big time bank runs going on, the POO are quite concerned they will drop out of the IMF and eurozone, become a success like Iceland and pave the way for a recovery model by leaving the big charade. They fear other countries will notice how they are being screwed.
The people realize it, but elected officials are in denial because they are paid to be in denial.

I don't think they are too worried about that, JR. They will still run the "new" government. I think it is more the irritation of taking a step backwards in their plan. I wouldn't be surprised if they had chosen Greece as a test site to see just how far they could push before we resist.

I read a few days ago that Greeks had already been pulling their money out for months and over $700 mil had been withdrawn and they expected it to go up to at leas t$8-900 mil.

We are kinda hose here because they have the system set up so that it will cost you more money to not have an account than it will to have one. Most places of employment are also requiring you to have an account for direct deposit if you want to get paid. It's bullshit if you ask me.

That's how it's done here, there hasn't been a single cheque issued here since the late 80's. Our local bank does not deal with cash transactions after 1:00 pm. 13.gif

Despite reports today that €1bn had been pulled from Bankia by its customers, Spain's economy secretary Fernando Jiménez Latorre denies that the lender is suffering a run.

"It's not true that there is an exit of deposits at this moment from Bankia."

He added that Bankia has everything it requires to become a success in the future - it just needs time.

Suffice it to say that their idea of "a success" and mine are completely different.
