Quote:A group that took credit for leaking NSA cyber spying tools - including ones used in the WannaCry global ransomware attack - has said it plans to sell code that can be used to hack into the world's most used computers, software and phones.

Using trademark garbled English, the Shadow Brokers group said in an online statement that, from June, it will begin releasing software to anyone willing to pay for access to some of the tech world's biggest commercial secrets.

In the blog post, the group said it was setting up a "monthly data dump" and that it could offer tools to break into web browsers, network routers, phone handsets, plus newer exploits for Windows 10 and data stolen from central banks.

It said it was set to sell access to previously undisclosed vulnerabilities, known as zero-days, that could be used to attack Microsoft Corp's (MSFT.O) latest software system, Windows 10. The post did not identify other products by name.

It also threatened to dump data from banks using the SWIFT international money transfer network and from Russian, Chinese, Iranian or North Korean nuclear and missile programs, without providing further details.

"More details in June," it promised.

I hope you grasp the seriousness of this.

The NSA knows what Shadow Brokers have and what kind of doom they can pull off. This is going to force the NSA to disclose whatever vulnerabilities they have weaponized to Microsoft, banks etc to prevent a global meltdown.
If they don't the NSA will OWN the coming global meltdown, it's as simple as that.

If they do nothing, this will make wannacry look like some crappy browser toolbar and the whole world will pay for their hacking.

The NSA has a choice to make, will they do the right thing and disclose the vulnerabilities or pretend everything is okay while the world comes crashing down.

rofl.gif If I was writing these routines to exploit vulnerabilities they would put me in jail. The NSA is above the law and does this BS with impunity, then via it's own lax practices lets them out in the wild. How can an institution with security in their name be as insecure as possible.
It must be nice to be so non caring and cavalier about this shit that they don't even care or answer to anyone when it all comes crashing down.

Dayum. Clusterfuk doesn't even begin to describe the carnage.

EMP might be preferable.

If this really is NK then they just opened a can of worms they will regret. I say set off an EMP over NK. Then again, this could just as easily be out gov, or the POO, faking it so they can start a war.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

That is it right there, they want war against Russia. If Hillary was elected it would already be. Trump and the people threw a wrench in the deepstate's gears.

No, the data world crashes and burns, they will claim it wasn't their code and blame it on the North Korea, just like they did with the last one.

~~~~~~~~ End ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Um , from 1952 until about 1978 or 1982 ,
This agency was just about unknown to the General Population of the U.S.
it sucked Trillions of U'S. Tax $ in that time period .
It spied on U.S. Citizens .
Myself being one of those that they spied on .
now ,,,
remind me again ,,, without the Zap this time ,,, why I should see this as a bad thing .
