Sheriff: Woman kills jail escapee who kicks in her door

Quote:The inmate was still in his orange jail jumpsuit and had grabbed a knife sharpening tool from the woman's kitchen in Pickens as he headed toward her bedroom around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Pickens County Sheriff Rick Clark said.

"This was a big guy. If she hadn't had a weapon there's no telling what would have happened," Clark said. "I gave her a big hug. I told her how proud I was of her."

The woman was home alone and had gone through training to get a concealed weapons permit, Clark said.

Quote:"This is the shining example" of why owning and knowing how to use a gun is important, the sheriff said.

Happy endings make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. hug.gif

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Yah, I wouldn't put that at the top of the list.
Be a good custodian of your own behaviors.
