Several studies have concluded that many or most people experience sleep paralysis at least once or twice in their lives.

In The Terror That Comes in the Night, folklorist and behavioral scientist David J. Hufford argues that sleep paralysis is related to an anomalous experience known in Newfoundland as "the Old Hag." According to Hufford, the Old Hag is "an experience with stable contents which is widespread, dramatic, realistic, and bizarre," and elements of the phenomenon cannot be fully explained either by psychology or culture. His works have explored the connection between the Old Hag and parapsychology in what he labels the "experience-centered approach" to hauntings.

About 1975, I was in bed and felt the presence of complete evil in my room. I felt that I was being crushed down into my mattress by this diabolical visitor.
I prayed to Jesus to intervene, and the evil vanished after a few minutes.

I'm no Bible thumper, but I know what works for me.

There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes!

It's one of the wierdist things I've ever experienced. First time it happened I saw two red eyes outside the bedroom window, which proceeded to enter the room and overwhelm me, I could not move. It was a big black female thing with wings that sat on me in a sexually gratifying manner and laughed while it...nevermind.
I had a series of dreams throughout the next few days that I vomited snakes and frogs.wtf2.gif

Sounds like you made it with a succubi.

I had an experience a few years ago I can't explain. I was sitting on a recliner watching tv and getting a little droopy eyed. I suddenly started hearing a buzzing. Not only was I hearing it, I was feeling it. It felt exactly like it sounded. Withing seconds I couldn't move. I wasn't asleep. My eyelids had been getting heavy until I heard the buzzing. I was looking around trying to figure out what it was until I started feeling it. The sensation moved down my body and I couldn't move no matter how hard I tried. I decided to relax. After I was completely relaxed, the sound and sensation went away.

evil bitch

def sounds like a succubus visitation.
In folklore traced back to medieval legend, a succubus (plural succubi) is a female demon appearing in dreams who takes the form of a human woman in order to seduce men, usually through sexual intercourse. The male counterpart is the incubus. Religious traditions hold that repeated intercourse with a succubus may result in the deterioration of health or even death.

In modern fictional representations, a succubus may or may not appear in dreams and is often depicted as a highly attractive seductress or enchantress, in contrast to the past succubi were generally depicted as frightening and demonic.

Possible explanation for alleged encounters with succubiIt is believed by some in the field of medicine that the stories relating to encounters with succubi bear similar resemblance to the contemporary phenomenon of people reporting alien abductions, which has been ascribed to the condition known as sleep paralysis. It is therefore suggested that historical accounts of people experiencing encounters with succubi may have been in fact symptoms of sleep paralysis, with the hallucination of the said creatures coming from their contemporary culture.[9][10

spock.gif I cant say I believe in demons per se, but the experience was out of the ordinary especially for me. I don't even entertain the notion of a devil, thats a scapegoat made up by Christians as an excuse to act like a dickhead.
I believe in god, but to even think for a second that god would create a Satan who diametrically opposed gods every move is ridiculous, an insult to god really.

So...what DID I experience? dunno.gif very strange.

Oh Jay,, dont even get me started on the whole god/satan,, good/evil,,heaven/hell.. topic,
I think it is all bullshit stories made up by man to try and control man.
Now I really do hope to not upset anyone here, or start up a fight of any kind but these are my thoughts..
I believe there "may" be a higher power, who knows whether it is god/goddess/spirit...
I believe in "worshipping" (for lack of a better term) nature, taking care of our planet. If you want to call it motherearth/Gaia/God....I dont really know.
But I do know that the idea of God creating a counterpart is sort of redundant, if he is all powerful and all knowing,, then why would he allow the evil to continue. Why is the big question there are so many horrible things on this planet that happen and are done to innocent people and children each and every day, that I have a HARD time understanding why this god would let these things happen.
Some would say that I dont have faith,, maybe not.
But I honor anyones right to believe what they believe. And as long as they are causing no harm, then go forth and prosper.
The Wiccan religion comes the closeest to how I believe, But that one too has some loopholes.I guess I just think too much, and that is what my stepfather used to say when I would ask difficult questions about the bible. I grew up being forced to go to church and to say that i beleived in shït that I thought was stupid. I was forced to sit in church and listen to our preacher pound the pulpit and tell me that this "all knowing loving god" was going to send me"straight to hell" because i was a SINNER! well if he loves me so much, then why am I going to hell, and because I questioned these things, I was forced to be babtised ""washed in the blood"" because i was "such a troubled child"

okay I am going to step down off my soapbox now,,,,,,,,,,
I might have gotten a little carried away there
But you know what? Most of the time when something bad has been done to me, it has been done by a so called "christian"

Most of the bad that has been done to the world has been done by "christians" or some form of religious fanatic.

Never had a problem with Jesus really, but most of his followers are a bunch of holier than though morons that use the devil as an excuse to behave like asswipes.

IMO, god has two sides, yin and yang and the bottom line is it rarely intervenes in anything.

Things blamed on the devil are in reality just an aspect of god. We were made in their image, after their likeness, which means we have the ability to do great good and great evil depending on the choices we make.

We're not the only intelligent species in the multiverse why people have based their philosophy on a separate god, I'll never understand.

IMO We are all god and we create our own reality, god is a verb, when we do positive things we are godding. drinking.gif

Same thing for me, in 1989. Felt like someone was standing on my chest in bed. I couldn't move. I said a prayer in Jesus's name, and it disappeared. I remember it like it was yesterday.
