Yes, that is standard boiler plate for just about any major news outlet.

This year, they are also pushing a hypothesis that their flu shots weren't made right or something. They'll say anything, and make stuff up as needed.

Here's the latest flu news about the epidemic in Australia:

"Figures show that there have been 94,000 confirmed cases of the virus in Australia since January - compared with just 12,000 in total last year. Of those, 147 people have died yet at the same point in 2018, the number of deaths was 23."

Eight times the number of cases and seven times the number of flu deaths.

Flu deaths in Australia jumped from 147 to 192 last week,  or a 31% increase. In 2018 Australia reported a total of 73 flu deaths for the entire flu season.
