Thanks CA for the tunes - just when I thought I got them out of my mind (lol.gif).

Isn't it just like that, some many musicians and actors are also artists trying to express themselves.

"I do something every day, whether sculpting or painting," he says. "It definitely feeds my spirit when I sculpt or paint or blow the horn, that's an essential part of my being."

"He also believes that others should have a chance for self-expression through the arts, as well as positive standards of living, and to that end he has given away nearly $100 million over 20 years."

New album by Herb Alpert coming September 30th - "In The Mood".

One of their better instrumental songs and thats saying a heluva lot (*-*)

Quote: In 1966 over 13 million Alpert recordings were sold, outselling the Beatles. That same year, the Guinness Book of World Records recognized that Alpert set a new record by placing five albums simultaneously in the Top 20 on the Billboard Pop Album chart, an accomplishment that has never been repeated. In the first week of April of that year, four of those albums were in the Top 10, simultaneously matching a mark first set by The Kingston Trio in late 1959. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herb_Alpert#Hit_singles
