A tiny dog found herself in a very sticky situation when she got caught in a glue board trap! Luckily animal rescuers were able to save her and clean her up. And believe it or not, it was peanut butter that saved the day.

Glue board traps are trays coated with an extremely sticky adhesive.[...]

When Abby, a 4-pound Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, found herself stuck to one of those traps, Emergency Animal Medical Technicians (EAMTs) from the Arizona Humane Society were summoned to the scene.

When the EAMTs arrived, Abby had already succumbed to exhaustion and was collapsed face down in the glue and was struggling to breathe, with glue lodged in her nasal passage and eyes. Had she not been rescued in time, she could've suffocated and died.
[...]

Knowing that simply peeling the trap off of the small dog's face would cause severe pain and could even rip out her fur and/or skin in the process, Gallo tried a more humane and creative approach.

He lathered the little dog’s face with peanut butter and the peanut oil loosened the glue's grip. Gallo was then able to carefully and painlessly remove the glue from Abby’s small body.
[...]

Now, after a few days of recovering (and the loss of a little fur), she is happy and healthy and ready for adoption.

Shelter workers say she's extremely affectionate, loves to be held and has a great personality that would blend into any household.

I'd take her, but shipping would be too cruel for that little one.

I think I might have room in my backpack for that little cutie!

Might make going through airport security more fun than it already is though!

Never heard of glue board traps, mustn't be popular in OZ, and no wonder, they should be banned ffs.. What kind of ğkking moron would put those down?

That poor dog, what a sweetie.. I bet she found a home quickly too.. Broke my heart reading that story..

Yes, I've never head of glue board traps either, one would think the owner would have thought "what could possibly go wrong" to themselves when they put it in the same room as the dog? gaah.gif
Some people don't deserve pets due to the fact they are too stupid to live in the first place.
It was a heart breaker, I have a real soft spot when it comes to puppies.

Excerpts:

PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) -

It's a happy ending for a little dog who went through a sticky ordeal Wednesday. Her owner has been located and they have been reunited.

Turns out the dog went missing about a month ago and her owner has been checking lost pet websites and searching shelters for her ever since.

When she saw her story on TV, she knew that it was her dog.

When the owner saw Mia in her kennel, Mia was all tail wags, and immediately recognized her. Shelter workers say she started jumping in her kennel and barking with excitement. She leaped out of the AHS employee’s arms and into her owner’s arms and started kissing her face and licking away her tears of happiness. Shelter workers describe it as a very emotional reunion.

Dogs and horses in Germany and Amsterdam and elsewhere are getting laid by hotter looking women than me and probably most other men within the United States as well and those oblivious to their good fortune pets are even getting screwed and blown by multiple women simultaneously and thats no friggin lie, for i have seen the mind bending video evidence, the really sad and very shocking brutal truth and so much for mans best friend, a sure fire warrant for potential suicide solutions, i mean like in all surface dwelling greed driven seriousness, what the f##k...
