I've never even heard of this §hit!
The sap is photosensitive and becomes caustic when exposed to sunlight.
Burns like a Vampire in the sun.
Hopefully it won't grow in the Pacific northwest.

STAUNTON, Va. --
Environmental officials in Virginia and other states are warning the public to be vigilant about an invasive plant that can cause burning and blindness to those who come into direct contact with its sap.

There were warnings in local media about it.

There is a plant with a similar flower around here that causes strong hallucinations.

Yeah, it's Hemlock.
It is unrelated to the coniferous tree that bears the same common name, the Eastern Hemlock. Gardeners will recognize the finely toothed leaves and clusters of small, white flowers common on plants in this family. Queen Anne's Lace (Daucus carota), also known as Wild Carrot, is similar, with deeply cut leaves.

I'm surprised it's growing that far north, I know it's horrible to get that on the skin.

It's hard to believe the Brits brought it with them home and to the US as decorative garden type flowers.

chuckle.gif Yup. That was fairly common in Indiana, it grew up along side a creek where we went swimming and I got a bit on my arm once. Thank God it was only like a brush with it that gave me about a 2" diameter funky looking blister on my arm, took a while to heal as I recall.
