Sorry for the rant,,,it is just that the attempt to pass a dictatorial law

to ban conservative talk radio is because the liar liberal liar lefty radio

failed,,,so no it is "not fair",,,you see so many things in life are "not fair",,,

and "not right",,,and it is now up to us your superior intellect overlords

to dictate to you how everything should be...

Well you won't see me supporting "banning" any thing. Talk radio will eventually collapse on its own because nothing is trendy for ever. But you are pointing out an important point. Caustic speech makes enemies both ways. Power shifts from left to right and back.

And payback's a bitch.

I have had to endure things in government that were caused by people before I was born. So shall we all. Nixon was brilliant, he tried never to make his opposition mad. He always had something in everything for as many as possible. I miss him.

I don't know Wayne,,,Rush has been around a long time,,,

since before I didn't have sex with that woman was elected,,,

and sure the right side of radio is bias as well,,,and I love it,,,

payback,,,and it swings from right to left and back,,,and

hopefully this ship will right itself again,,,though not perfect

either,,,and we probably don't need lawyers running things,,,

first mistake,,,we have enough laws,,,and bans,,,and control...

Before and during Clinton, for me, a day without Rush was a day without sunshine. I stayed the same, he changed.

By the numbers, because it important to me.
1. Sure sounded like to me that you were against conservative
talk radio???

I liked it, I listened everyday, it changed and got depressing and rude and stupid, I stopped listening. I'm am not in favor of a ban or change of any kind. I am not in favor of reinstating the fairness doctrine now or in the future, its too late for that. I believe a time will come when the owners start changing format because they will see the demographics changing and none of them wants to be the last to change, the last guys lose their stations. So to me there is no need to ban or change anything, the market will take care of itself.
That is my personal preference and opinion. Now as for what will happen when the country shifts politically, talk radio has made a lot of enemies that they didn't have to make. Their bad karma may come back to bite them and if it does they have their selves to blame. We have freedom of speech, that does not include freedom to be on the radio, or have a reality show.

2. and that the other side was not presented,,,
sounded a lot like that ban stuff to me

I can't control the powers that be but in my opinion if they ban or in any way interfere with talk radio they are making a mistake.....I have one (1) exception. I think the rules on how many stations a non American, foreigner, need to be reinstated. That won't change talk radio, in fact it will create opportunity for Americans to own their own stations. Liberals are not going to buy AM stations and turn them into liberal talk stations. The Chinese have tried in the past to buy broadcast stations and I think its dangerous. Its just an opinion and I wouldn't change my vote based on it one way or another.

I'm not sure what the other side is. I was presenting a "lamentation" I was wishing that things had not changed. I think the change is what made talk radio so repulsive. I can agree with someone and not want to listen to them because their language stinks.

3. and now you like Rush

NO I don't like Rush NOW. I liked him when he was sharp, intelligent, when his intellect was used to compel people to think about the issues. Now he talks to his people and no one else, he plays to people's basest instinct. He brings shame on conservatism on a regular basis.

EXAMPLE:
George Will, conservative, FOX news, I could listen to him all day long. I might not agree with everything he said but he would never insult or belittle or offend me.

I don't think I can make it any clearer.

Hi Wayne5,

Thanks for the explain,,,and sorry for the rant,,,

like I said,,,thought this was a set up for ban the radio,,,

so I thought I would stop it early,,,and you still have the TV,,,

to hear the other side,,,can't believe what those "reporters" make

on news shows like the Today show,,,Matt is over 15 million a year,,,

and he don't even crawl around in foxholes in the Nam or nothing,,,

just reads the script them give him and make bad jokes,,,

thank goodness for the internet,,,just don't want to see the radio

taken away as well,,,and the night shows,,,well they even got Leno

to turn,,,and thought for moment letterman was going to turn back,,,

during the last election,,,for his son's future,,,but in the end he didn't,,,

he even bad mouthed the bambam some,,,but once you go black,,,

can't go back,,,and saturday night live,,,well now,,,no comment,,,

and Rush,,,I still like the guy,,,helped my sanity when the Clinton was

given the office,,,and Jeniffer Flowers tried to warn us,,,and was proven

right,,,finally,,,wonder how many other stories were true???,,,like all of them,,,

so,,,sorry for the headache,,,but at least there is still the internet,,,

and the radio,,,for now...
