How can people believe in the Bible with so many inconsistencies?

GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.

GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created.
GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.

GE 1:20-21, 26-27 Birds were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before birds were created.

GE 1:24-27 Animals were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before animals were created.

GE 1:26 Man is to have dominion over fish, birds, cattle, and all wild animals, yet--
GE 2:15-17 It is wrong to be able to tell good from evil, right from wrong.

GE 1:26-27 Man and woman were created at the same time.
GE 2:7, 21-22 Man was created first, woman sometime later.

Those examples are just from Genesis. The entire thing is full of contradictions, how can anyone put their faith in something like that?

We know it's true. It is the word of God and the word says it's true.

Right?

Or was that the Quran?

The Talmud?

Mormon Bible?

Meh, some book or other says it is.

AK is right, you are on the wrong forum for that trolling.

If I wanted to enslave an entire society (and planet,
in the longer perspective), of course one of the
very first moves would be declaring the commoner
totally incapable of interpreting his/her own
spirituality. Make them believe that only my priests
can guide them.

To me, the insult towards my own people's heritage
is what stings my eye the most. As if distant desert
goat shepherd people (peace & prosperity to them)
somehow would have greater insights into human
existence than us lot.

How to turn little, insignificant Israel into a political
lever to shift the entire globe upon need.

The Kalevala is way smarter than most holy books.
The center of the universe is with every being/every
spot, and 'creation' is an ever ongoing, ever present
thing.

I think OP is asking a very relevant question, whatever
his/her agenda or shtick. Why the bleedin' eff would
anyone box their thinking in like that..?
And accept the utter destruction and belittlement of
their own ancestral heritage..?

Beats me, stone cold.

People cling to ridiculous notions for comfort. It's an adult version of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. You know deep down none of it's real, it's designed to prevent us from killing each other.

It's designed to make it easier for us to kill each other.
