I have an awesome photo within my yahoo archive that I want to cut and paste into a new thread here...

But I cant turn it into a link that I can cut and paste so it can bee seen within that thread I haven't made yet...

Like I can easily do and have done a thousand times with other photos inside my computers regular images?

So how can i do that?

Go to imgur or flickr and upload it there. Those sites will allow pics to be posted with the https prefix which is the only format that shows up on this forum.

You don't need to register to upload a photo: http://imgur.com/upload

The https:// prefix is ultra important as http:// is not secure and is being phased out quickly.

Thanx...but...I seem to have the same problem getting the photo into imgur or flickr as I do trying to get it into a thread here?

When I preview the photo and can see it inside my yahoo archive, there is a cut and pasteable link, but that only goes to my yahoo page, not to the photo itself...

You'll have to download each photo to your computer, then upload to imgur.

Or at least I don't know how to, I see no way explaining how?

Not going to happen, they are gone forever.

This came from here: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index...222AAQf6nj

Quote:Yahoo Photos was closed last year, users were told well in advance and given the choice to move their pics to Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket, Snapfish or Shutterfly. Yahoo made it clear that all remaining photo accounts would be deleted after October and that any photos still remaining would be erased with no chance of recovery, sorry...

scream.gif The rule of thumb should be never count on any online services to keep your data. Only by keeping it locally on hard drives or usb sticks can you count on it being there. You can't count on CD's or DVD's either, I went through nine year old CD's the other day and 8 out of 10 no longer worked. damned.gif
