We talked about the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody". "She" claims to have "seen" it as well.

Amazon Echo secretly recorded a family's conversation and sent it to a random person on their contact list

When contacted by the family, Amazon said it takes privacy "very seriously," but downplayed the incident as an "extremely rare occurrence."

In a statement to CNBC, Amazon blamed Alexa misinterpreting background conversation as a set of commands to send a message to a contact:

Amazon Wrote:  Echo woke up due to a word in background conversation sounding like "Alexa." Then, the subsequent conversation was heard as a "send message" request. At which point, Alexa said out loud "To whom?" At which point, the background conversation was interpreted as a name in the customers contact list. Alexa then asked out loud, "[contact name], right?" Alexa then interpreted background conversation as "right". As unlikely as this string of events is, we are evaluating options to make this case even less likely.

I think AI is fascinating, and will, for good or evil, play a HUGE role in future society.
That's actually the push behind 5g. It's to enable sophisticated mobile AI.

I agree but most conspiracy theorists(?) seem to think sophisticated mobile AI is meant for evil. I do not with proper security installed. Let's get with it people. Time to move on.

I think evolving AI could be perfect tool for a repressive government. It's something to be concerned about. On the other hand, it has the potential of enhancing human life.

Absolutely, with approvals and 'off' switches in place.

For me it's not a conspiracy, it's a cost/benefit ratio. I can buy a lot of things I NEED for the money you're forking over for bullshit you don't.

The Echo Dot sold for $20 on Cyber Monday.
