We should always hold a person to a higher standard in a situation like this when they are the minor with no right to carry a gun than an adult with a gun that also creates a situation that leads to the others death. The shooters word should be good enough for us no matter how suspicious their story is. If we allow people to look suspicious by staring back and looking this way and that way all mayhem will break loose and other people will think it is ok to do the same thing. This is how a life of violence begins. First it is a stare, then they look this way and that way,and before you know it they are serial killers. It is perfectly reasonable to believe Trayvon was sneaking up on Trayvon while talking on the phone after he already ran away. Zimmermans history of alleged violence means nothing but Trayvon getting caught with jewelry that was never reported stolen and drawing grafitti proves he would attack someone. Zimmerman is a man that would never take the law into his own hands even though he decided to follow Trayvon as a private citizen rather than doing it as a represenative of neighborhood watch. It is trayvons fault because Zimmerman could not represent himself as being from neighborhood watch in much the same way a policeman could identify himself as a policeman. Trayvon should have knew why this stranger was following him. Zimmerman must have reached for his cellphone as he says and not a gun because after all he would have no motivation if he did lie to save his own ass.Zimmerman is a good guy that has black friends that he would probably turn in also if he did not already know them because he would care about them just as much. He stuck up for a black homeless guy so that proves he is a good guy. It is not like there are people that exist that lead a fake life like preachers who would talk about the evils of homosexuality and then be pole smokers at night. Those people do not exist. People that cant see our truth want to make this a race issue. Zimmerman never profiled anyone so that is not even an issue so people should shut up about race. The fact that we buy Zimmermans story is no proof we have alterior motives and people that disagree should shut up. Zimmerman getting his head slammed against concrete is a good reason to feel sorry for him and take his side. Those injuries prove Trayvon was the aggressor and that Zimmerman gave no reason for Trayvon to feel Zimmerman was a threat. We only have reason to believe Zimmerman felt threatened by Trayvon, but the reason is not because we are closet racists..

rofl.gif Some very funny points. This damn thing is something I tried to not get too involved in.

I saw right upfront the media was turning this into a race card clusterfuck.

When Obama said if he had a son he would look like him... coffeetime.gif pfft. Sorry, at that point I shut the ğck down to the whole deal at that point.

Didn't watch the edited NBC video, and haven't read anymore since the Obama quotes.

Sure this reflects badly on all involved, but the way this was picked up and flung to the forefront of all major news indicates to me this was distraction.

An awful situation seized upon for political gain. If these were two black guys or two white guys, the whole thing would have never reached notoriety.

Like Rahm Emanuel once said, never let a crisis go to waste.

It's election year, I'm sure you will see more of these awful melodramatic scenarios play out as they wallow in the flag and promise all manner of glittering generalities.

Hmmm...

Mayhaps you should keep one subject in one thread. That'll make them easier to find.

In other news, you aren't a bot.

By the way, only three subjects are allowed multiple threads. Beer, bacon and boobs. Repeat offenders are liable to be banished into Al Gore's internets...

Zimmerman is guilty!! My thoughts on the Trayvon Martin case
Several things point to Zimmerman's guilt, and thank god we have the media to paint us an accurate picture. First of all just look at those photos of them they showed. Trayvon is obviously a sweet and innocent little boy and Zimmerman a thug. It is hard not to imagine him to be the type that would steal lollipops out of the mouths of babies and chase after suspicious people while waving a gun around in the air. His past record of alleged violence also proves this point. Trayvon on the other hand was just a little boy with a bag of skittles and some tea. Zimmerman had no reason to follow a black guy unless he was racist. This is a good reason by itself to protest in the streets and put a bounty on Zimmermans head. The fact many crimes were committed in the area by black people is no excuse for Zimmermans racist behavior. Zimmerman had no right as a private citizen to watch someone he did not know in his neighborhood. Some people disagree but that is only because the gun toting right wing crowd tell them what to think. We can only believe what the mainstream media and the NAACP tells us because they always get their facts straight and are not biased. The right is making this a political issue unlike people like myself that just want the truth exposed. Zimmerman should be arrested because in this country people are guilty until proven innocent.
