I am just getting settled into our new place and to a point where I will soon start making probiotics again. I also plan on starting a batch of the tonic very soon. You can get non-pasteurized, bottled kimchi and sauerkraut in most health food stores for your probiotics. It can be a bit expensive, but you don't need to eat much.

The directions on that tonic page differ a little from other pages. That page says to strain the liquid and take it straight up. The other pages say don't strain it and that you can mix it into other things. For instance:

Add 2-4 tablespoons to jar, followed by 1-4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup. Add a cup or more of real juice (orange, apple, etc). Shake and sip often until desired effect is achieved.

1 - 2 Tablespoons SuperTonic in one cup hot water. Add honey to taste. Makes a zingy delicious tea!

It seems the only difference is that it is more potent if taken straight.

Also, it is VERY hot.

Very interesting link...now in my favs. I totally believe a healthy diet is of paramount importance to ward off disease.

Hi US wave.gif Yes that is promising. Imagine making an extract cocktail out of all those plant... damned.gif

:fuckyeah:

It's different proportions for each plant, but with Sea-buckthorn for instance according to my book:

Liquid extract; 1:1 in 25% ethanol
Tincture; 1:5 in 45% ethanol

Yes, they get sick. They just don't know they are sick.

I had an alcoholic step-dad that got the flu once. Other than that, I really don't remember any of them getting sick. (There were several of them in my family.)

My old friend and classmate is a doctor and she told me the alcoholics have the cleanest freakin blood vessels she's ever seen. chuckle.gif

So they'll die from a busted liver or pancreas instead of coronary diseases.

There were quite a few alcoholics from my dad's family and I don't recall them being really sick either. However, they did die early of heart and liver failure.

Some people seem to be simply indestructible.

My old friend Attman Drabbas, for instance.
He's been drinking and abusing other substances
for years - still seemed to have aged less than me,
last time we met, a coupla months ago.

There were 15 kids in my dad's family. Most of them were alcoholics. 6 are still alive. 7 were killed by genetic COPD, 1 in a car crash and 1 by the pharmaceutical hell she put her body through. Most of the dead were drinkers (Not the crash victim.)

No, I don't have it. I have been tested twice. cheers.gif

I do drink, but not like them. I don't even have the desire to drink like them. I think their problems were mostly caused by emotional/physical abuse. The odd thing about them is their mother was a holy roller and their dad was the opposite. He was a drinking, smoking, hell raising SOB. Part of the children were outlaw drinkers and part were holy rollers. All except the youngest. He is a cool dude that falls somewhere in the middle.
