I have completed a long study of 6000 passengers and my conclusion is that jetlag is a result of interfering with the body biorhythms
Biorhythms begin at birth and adopt a consistent cycle based on the moon gravity pull
I have observed that jetlag only affect humans when we fly east to west the most and west to east to a slightly less extent.
When we fly north South or south north then we have no jetlag ...only increase tiredness .
This is because flying North South the moon gravity pull affects human biorhythms only ever so slightly.
If airlines can alter the flight path to a zig zag mode rather than flying in a straight line then the jet lag effect on fliers will be very minimal.
It will be a question of finding a balance between passengers comfort and airline cost.
My solution would be to offer the option of zig zag flights to first class and business class travellers who can afford to pay the extra cost for the benefit of eliminating jet lag
