In 2023!!

The Mars-One Project is seeking brave souls to colonize Mars in 2023. I'm game!!

I'm going to apply! You never know. I just might get picked.

There is a $38.00 registration fee to register your application.

The only catch is.....

This is a one way trip. You will live and you will die on Mars. No return trips for burial. Mars becomes your home.

Apply here.

I knew there was a reason why I was so in to the "Kerbal Space Program" game.

But this is what made me decide...

If I got chosen, I would write a book. I'd be a regular Forest Gump with all the stuff I've done in life.

Quote:"With 78,000 applications in two weeks, this is turning out to be the most desired job in history," Mars One CEO and co-founder Bas Lansdorp said in a statement. "These numbers put us right on track for our goal of half a million applicants."

So far, applications have come in from more than 120 countries, with many coming from the United States, which submitted 17,324 applications, CNN reported.

Someone needs to invent a stillsuit, like the one in the book 'Dune'. That way, all your body's water is cleaned and reused continuously. Who knows, maybe they will also invent a pill that will replace eating.

They have to find water, or land in the polar region which may not be so hospitable. Kind of a dilemma, however all the water that was once there should still be there.

There's ice on mars, however...

Quote:The composition of the ice will vary. For example Earth's polar ice caps are mainly water ice, while Mars's polar ice caps are a mixture of solid phase carbon dioxide and water ice.

There is theory that Mars is US.

We would just be returning to start over again.
