Indeed, I must have lived many other(or others' lives)...at least, that's what was told to me.

I believe there are a lot of old souls around here. I've read a lot of things that make sense in regard to people coming back in groups.
A lot of us may have well known one another in past incarnations, and somehow against all odds we find our way back.
That goes a long way to explain the mystery of why it is when you meet someone in person either in day to day reality, or on the internet... and you either like them and feel a connection or you immediately don't like them.
The Karma transcends lifetimes, and somehow we can tap into those past karmic vibrations.
There is so much more to this existence than most ever realize.

An excellent phrase JR, glad there's someone who thinks that way cheers.gif

cheers.gif I attempt to keep my eyes mind and spirit open to all possibilities, and by the very quantum nature of the universe; the possibilities are endless.
There are a lot of kindred spirits around here, Octo and I are both very thankful we have such great intelligent souls to be around, that we can interact with, and bounce ideas around. yay.gif

Hm.

When my Real Name came to me,
I lost interest in "previous lives".
Doesn't matter at all :)

I've been told I'm an old soul too and based on my experiences it seems like the logical explanation. hmm.gif

....... since everyone is refering to [old]

let's make it clear - the soul does not have an age

the title of the thread is mistaken

I read a book called 'Years of Rice and Salt' by Kim Stanley Robinson that goes indepth into this theory. Good read. I wouldn't disagree you're an old soul US, you have a calmness and self possession that is ... nice to see.

Cloud Atlas, 'old soul' refers more to understanding and wisdom than years maybe?

I love the violin and the works of Paganini. Jascha Heifetz the greatest violinist of the 20th century, playing Bach - Chaconne BWV 1004

Will lift your soul to someplace else.

Fabulous violinist..I need symphonic hits now and again.

Sometimes I'm not sure when people say to me "Have we met before?" if we have met in a previous existence or I just look/remind them of someone else. Like last week, my regular doctor was not available (as usual) so a young male doctor substitutes for her. So, the first time I meet him he says "I've met you before somewhere"...I reply, "I don't remember ever meeting you before", then a quizzical look comes over his face. dunno.gif

Phantom of the Opera lyrics for your enjoyment.

Old Souls
Our love is an old love baby
It's older than all our years
I have seen in strange young eyes
Familiar tears
We're old souls in a new life baby
They gave us a new life to live and learn
Some time to touch old friends
And still return

Our paths have crossed and parted
This love affair was started long long ago
This love survives the ages
In its story lives are pages
Fill them up
May ours turn slow

Our love is a strong love baby
We give it all and still receive
And so with empty arms we must still believe
All souls last forever
So we need never fear goodbye
A kiss when I must go...
No tears...
In time...
We kiss hello

Thank you Shadow, what a nice thing to say. However, I can still be intolerant of many aspects of humanity and certain behaviours.

Yes, that's what I (and others') mean by using the word 'old' because one would assume (and hope) that wisdom, calmness, and understanding come with experiencing one long-lived life or many.

Some people definitely seem familiar even though you never met them. Like JR and I knew each other instantly and he remembered me from when he was a kid! That's difficult to explain away. 13.gif
