Paul used to be a hotel accountant, so he has some insights on the matter. When hotels rent out a conference room, they pretty much break even on the room. They make their profits from the alcohol that is sold to attendees.
Every major industry holds lots of conference at hotels all across the country. As you're reading this, there are probably countless events being held worldwide. The people who attend these events include some of the top titans in the world.
Obviously, the hotels are selling alcohol to a decent number of those attendees and some get drunk. (Airports and commercial jets are a part of this, too.)
Folks, we are being run by alcohol consciousness by our leaders, and zombies are carrying out their orders.
If we are to transform this may I suggest we see these folks filled with a consciousness of loving kindness? Let's bless them and ourselves as we approach the new year and in the future. The alternative is a world fueled by booze and the decisions that come from it.
Everyone needs a little 'drimke' now and then, but when a profit center for a huge industry is based on enough people drinking enough alcohol and those folks are decision makers for the rest of us, is it any wonder this world is facing so many dire challenges?
See them loving life so much that alcohol plays only a minor role or no role at at all.
