Around 6 months ago in a village called Andahuaylillas near Cusco Peru. It was long dead whatever it was and would have looked like one of the aliens in the `Conehead` movie!

In all seriousness, it was the coolest little museum I have ever seen!

Tried to post one of my pics from the `choose file` box bellow, but no luck!

I use Shutterfly as well as Photobucket, but I still have problems posting pics or videos on KB. Octo tried her best to help me, but I am better with a backpack and a map than I am with internet stuff. I succeeded a few times in the past on other CT sites though. gaah.gif

Akhenaten was said to have this head shape. There are numerous hypothesis as to why. No one can say for sure,hit its intimated it was hereditary. Other members of the royal family suffering d from it, which others did not. King Tut was Akhenatens son, and he had many maladies, an elongated head was not one of them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Head shape
As for the shape of Akhenaten's head, Dr. Braverman attributes this to a condition called craniosynostosis, in which sutures, the fibrous joints of the head, fuse at an early age, and interfere with the process of skull formation. The specific condition, called a sagittal suture, is dominantly inherited. Dr. Braverman says he observed this abnormality in the king's daughters as well as in Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Tuthmosis I, founder of Akhenaten's paternal line, and in King Tut, who ended this line.
Sutures normally expand as the brain expands and typically do not fuse until the age of 25 to 30. "At first, I wondered whether they bound the heads of infants to get this effect," says Dr. Braverman, "but there is no mention of this in Egyptian literature." The mummies could also be tested for the presence of three genes known to be responsible for most of the craniosynostosis syndromes.
Dr. Braverman developed a course that is now required at Yale and more than a dozen medical schools to help medical students hone their observational skills. They observe paintings at an art museum for a fixed amount of time, and then describe what they've seen afterwards. A controlled study concluded that the technique improves the students' power of observation.
The pharaonic bloodline was very inbred. All kinds of abnormalities can and do occur in that scenario.
A great example is why a pug doesn't even look like the same species as a German Shepard.
One of Europe's most powerful royal dynasties, the Spanish Habsburg, was so obsessed with securing its blue-blooded inheritance through family marriages that it brought about its own extinction through inbreeding.
Don't worry about it patpat.gif If you right click on the image (online) you get the option to 'copy image location' (in firefox) or something similar in other browsers. That's the link to the pic you want to use when posting a picture.
The long running (nine seasons so far) television show Ancient Aliens (the only mainstream television show thats covering this fascinating and suppressed subject openly and from every angle) has broadcast several shows covering these potentially valid south and central american alien (hybrid?) skulls and skeletons...
That show is loosely based on a 1970 documentary movie called Chariots of the Gods!
I finally figured out how to post pictures on Kritterbox!...thanks Octo!
