That's Windows 10 S.
It's designed to compete with Chrome books, which have a hd just big enough to hold the OS all the rest is in the cloud.
For $49 you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and get access to desktop apps.
Windows 10 S notebooks start from $189.
Internet only really at that price.

Have a read: Windows 10 S is going to confuse people

Their phone business tanked, so now this.

chuckle.gif I can understand him losing it, especially if he's playing Steam games. Heck, that's the only reason we use it at all.
If alternative program sources were no longer able to be run on Win10 Home/Premo I think most people would run back to 7, 8.1, Ubuntu, Mint or Steam OS.
I don't however rule this type of shenanigans out in the future.
I suspect Microsoft looks at Steam with envious eyes.

Most of us are old enough to agree with you on that.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice
