Where the mods read all your PM's and ban you if you give links to other forums.

Where you must have moderator approval to upload pics.

Where you must put up with ads.

Where there are hidden forums within the forum that keep the status quo clique.

Where they charge a monthly fee or your banned.

Where the owner is always begging for donations.

Where there are no active links.

Where there are no embedable videos.

Where you must be a member to post.

Where they give you persistent tracking cookies to watch your every move.

Where they sell your info to 3rd parties to make money.

Where these are the big players, but KB does none of this and has the most intelligent posters.

Why are you not HUGE?

We're not players. We never advertised anywhere. We're just more into quality than quantity. "Just build it and they will come" we said.

As JR mentioned in another thread, it may have a great deal to do with co-dependency, or people that need to be led, or may be overly needy.

Well, we run this joint as a non-profit gig just because we need to be here. Being huge means babysitting stupid crap 24/7. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

thats what attracted me to KB. no ads anywhere and a small, tight knit community. unlike the hustle and bustle of other ct sites. and the members here are very intelligent

Why care about HUGE if there's no advertising and/or donate buttons? Quality and even more important... sense of humor and intellect.
If you wanna' hang, by all means welcome. cheers.gif
If you don't, that's fine too, but we'd prefer you don't discuss other forums here unless it's something positive or a link to something that's actually original.
This is not a festivus airing of grievances type of place. Plenty of real issues to discuss in the real world, the other forums thing is irrelevant, and anything but real world.

But at the other big places you have instant gratification. I posted here the other day and it took an hour before anyone replied.
