Herb Alpert is the only singer/musician in the history of modern music to have in the billboard charts a number one hit vocal song This Guys In Love With You posted above and a number one instrumental song called Rise posted below and if anyone hasnt heard that songs haunting ultra smooth sounds and rhythms go to youtube and listen asap because i'm unable to post the superior studio version that can be heard here but anyways here it is >

Life is like a penny, you can spend it on what you like, but you can ONLY spend it once.

Meh...Tom Jones was there for a different reason. Bein a sex symbol AND makin money which his promoters and pretty much everyone else around him has done over the decades. While Herb Albert was popular with the ladies too...if Tom Jones has saved the bras, panties and hotel room keys over the years...they could fill a corn silo. I usually don't compare apples n oranges and I wouldn't compare these two guys either. Both great in their own rights...but hardly comparable. Just my not so humble opinion.
