Background checks for people wanting to buy guns in Colorado jumped more than 41 percent after Friday morning’s shooting at an Aurora movie theater, and firearms instructors say they’re also seeing increased interest in the training required for a concealed-carry permit.

“It’s been insane,” Jake Meyers, an employee at Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo in Parker, said Monday.

When he arrived at work Friday morning — just hours after a gunman killed 12 and injured 58 others at the Century Aurora 16 theater — there already were 15 to 20 people waiting outside the store, Meyers said.

He called Monday “probably the busiest Monday all year” and said the basic firearms classes that he and the store’s owner teach are booked solid for the next three weeks, something that hadn’t happened all year.

“A lot of it is people saying, ‘I didn’t think I needed a gun, but now I do,’ ” Meyers said. “When it happens in your backyard, people start reassessing — ‘Hey, I go to the movies.’

Can't say as I blame them. There are a shitload of fishy things about this whole deal, a second shooter has been eluded too that was let go by police.

Sideshow Bob was so ƒükkêd up on opiates, I don't know how he stood up, let alone shoot people. The whole thing has an MK Ultra flavor to it, and was timed just prior to the UN's new gun control regulations.

The Fast and Furious FF didn't work, this didn't either. Normally a "liberal" president would be calling for gun control, however not a word has been spoken. Makes me curious if there is another "executive order" on the way as he's used this undesirable, questionable and probably unconstitutional tactic to go around congress several times in the past.

There seems to be more at play here than meets the eye. Funny it overshadowed his Kenyan BC that was found in the UK archives, this could very well be the old diversion/distraction MO.

I suspect less and less people are going to be willing to turn in their guns if/when the gun control is implemented.
