They say you should buy gold (physical gold, not paper) and hold it because when the fiat dollar collapses (As every single one has done throughout the ages) we will inevitably go back to a gold standard,(As we have done every single time fiat currency has collapsed.)

When that happens, the people who own gold will see their value increase many fold (This has also been the case throughout history.)

There is one problem with that.

The gov will undoubtedly enact another version of Roosevelt's Executive Order 6102. Enacted in 1933, 6102 outlawed the private ownership of gold and allowed the government to confiscate it. Gold will be useless to private citizens.

We use a TDS meter (total dissolved solids) meter to determine when we are done.  We usually target 10 PPM as a stopping point but occasionally we do go a little higher.  Another difference is we use a plug-in "wall wart" transformer that produces 30 volt DC from 120 volts AC so we don't don't have to buy batteries.

We make a gallon at a time using the gallon jugs that distilled water comes in.  The process can take all day.  We stop periodically and clean the rods and check the ppm value.  After finishing, we filter thru a coffee filter and store in dark Riuinte 3 liter wine jugs in the closet.

Found out the hard way that not all distilled water on store shelves is really distilled.  The one consistent retailer that sells real distilled water (0 ppm) is Wally World (you have no idea how it pains me to say that).

Gold and silver have been considered "money" for all of recorded history. Even if the bad guys outlaw gold, you'll always be able to sell it somewhere else, or keep it long term in jewelry. As you so rightly point out -- fiat currency always crashes in the end because we are a species that does not seem to be able to self-govern honestly.

For the crash that the bad guys are about to bring us, I'd stock up on a non-city location, water, food and other necessities .... and then buy all the gold/silver I could afford. Just my .02.

Colloidal gold as treatment for rheumatic diseases has long been in use.
Seen it with own eyes while working at an old folk's End Station back in
the 1980's.

Anybody surprised, though..? chuckle.gif

Hahahahahaha lmao.gif

...boggles and amuses the mind to think of the millions strong
global army of suits-and-ties-and-attaché-cases who study
long, hard university years so they can run around complicating
simple things, look important and keep the Overlords hidden.

Oh, and...producing absolutely nothing.
