From L Nimoy: spock.gif

Quote:At this point, who could possibly top a Tweet like that from Buzz Aldrin and all the rest, but sure enough, on January 5th, Col. Hadfield received the following Tweet from none other than Leonard Nimoy, Mr. Spock himself, which read simply, “LLAP” (Live Long and Prosper)

Did you know preparation for a space walk takes almost an entire day. As for eating...

Quote:If an astronaut gets thirsty during a spacewalk, suits are equipped with an in-suit drink bag (ISD), which is just a plastic water-filled bag with a drinking tube that's attached by Velcro to the front interior of the suit. Astronauts just turn their head toward the tube and take a sip. Although suits used to attach fruit bars near astronauts' necks, most spacewalkers today prefer to eat before they exit spacecraft.

Quote:In her final days as Commander of the International Space Station, Sunita Williams of NASA recorded an extensive tour of the orbital laboratory and downlinked the video on Nov. 18, just hours before she, cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko and Flight Engineer Aki Hoshide of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency departed in their Soyuz TMA-05M spacecraft for a landing on the steppe of Kazakhstan. The tour includes scenes of each of the station's modules and research facilities with a running narrative by Williams of the work that has taken place and which is ongoing aboard the orbital outpost.

Best tour of life on the space station.
