I think she should be free to post.

Flat Earth is no stranger than half of the other conspiracy theories. (5G flu?)

This forum is slow, and I would like some new activity

Just don't read the threads. Why dictate what topics are acceptable?

People are leaving LoP because it's become too oppressive. Let Kritterbox welcome everyone but the Nazis.

That wasn't dictating.
That was telling it like it is.

Very scientific, how high EXACTLY is that plane flying ?

At 40 miles, across a lake, the curvature would add up to about 26 feet. Subtract the average height and only objects greater than 20 feet tall would be visible.

It's not thousands of feet, just 25 feet or so of curve masking.

YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    cheers.gif

My math? Check out Metabunk, no friend of flat earth. And other "earth curve calculator" sites.

The basic formula is 8×d^.
The drop is 8 inches times the square of miles distance.

So, observer height and target height being equal, for
1 mile, the drop is 8 inches.
For 2 miles it's 8x(2×2) = 32 inches.
3 miles, 8x(3×3) = 72 inches. 6 feet.

4 miles, 8x(40×40)= 12,800 inches ÷ 12 = 1066.666 feet

The drop is 8 inches per mile, but not linear, so at 6 miles it actually would be about 23 feet. Not 1066 feet at 4 miles.

First, thanks to Risky Rob for his support of free speech.
But my math is correct. 8xd^
Plane trigonometry just does not work on a curved body.

But why does science lie?
Astronomers absolutely know that planets are not solid bodies. That the sun is not 93 million miles away. I am not religious but I do think there was a creator. Possibly a being who built a software program in which we participate as avatars.

You just did. Thanks!
This forum should be hopping with talkative posters. Maybe the unusual name discourages visitors? It's not like the usual godlike lunatic fringe titles. Dunno.
Anyway.

An eclipse takes place when the earth, moon, and sun are lined up in such a way as to block our view of one of the objects.

İmage

A selenelion is an impossible lunar eclipse, when there is nothing to cast a shadow on the moon. This is impossible in Copernican cosmology. If the sun and moon are both visible above the horizon, then what is causing the crescent shape?

FE theorists think the moon is self-illuminated. If so, why that eclipse shape? dunno.gif .

Thanks, but I've been a member there since it opened. I used to post on glp until the boom was lowered on free speech. I post everywhere. Why do you have a problem with that? Are you trying to stifle my free speech? Why are you on this thread in the first place?  13.gif

 2) The horizon always rises to the eye level of the observer as altitude is gained, so you never have to look down to see it. If Earth were in fact a globe, no matter how large, as you ascended the horizon would stay fixed and the observer / camera would have to tilt looking down further and further to see it.
