As we got closer to our destinations, we could see the port. It was not visible until we got within whatever number of miles it would take to see it. I'm guessing 10 or 20 miles. It's unlikely that the earth has changed its shape too much since then. IOW the world was round then and it's round now.

Don't get lost in the weeds on this. Everyone on the ship saw what I saw if they were on deck. Every other shiips' voyages produces the same result. There are no exceptions unless there is heavy fog or something blocking he vision. Until you can explain this - and you can't without doing double back flips, you'll need to adjust your view on this matter.

Didn't you have binoculars with you?
Professional photographers have captured targets well beyond the alleged curve.
The formula, which I have stated earlier, calls for a drop of 8 inches times miles squared.
The tallest building in Chicago, around 1450 feet if I recall, should be completely hidden by the curve.
8x(50x50) = 21632÷12= 1802.666

I hardly think that spherical trigonometry is going "into the weeds."

My reply flew right over your head. The entire point is that the horizon of the port became gradually visible with the highest parts being visible first. You don't need a slide rule to grasp this concept, but you do need some willingness not to have your brain so twisted into a pretzel that you are unwilling to see the obvious.

You're like that bearded guy in the video referring to the 15 degree issue. He is unable psychologically to admit he is in error. That famously painful song by the Doobie Brothers comes to mind.

duh. top visible before bottom. Rly?

So what is your point, genius?
Perspective?
Yes, lines of convergence which crunch lower portions of targets at the vanishing point.

So how am I in error? At least I didn't call you a pretzel-brained psycho for telling us a painfully dull anecdote from grand olde voyages to the Orient.

Before excoriating me again with your rapier wit, please study basic laws of optics.

ALL photos of long distance targets defy the spinning round earth which you so  blithely embrace. Ah, but then you would have to do the math which absolutely defines the drop from sight at 8xd^. You can not argue with math, which in this case deals with real measurements and empirical evidence.

Do yourself a favor and study your heliocentric model before you come here and show your ignorance.

Gravs latest delusional idiotic theory !

'''And what's this crazy talk about artificial suns being silly? Oh, just please. Don't show your ignorant heinies by saying such old-fashioned notions.

You build a frame with dozens of yuuge spotlights, hook it to a helium-filled high altitude balloon (skyloon),fly it to the stratosphere. Ta da. Fake sun. ''

The long extension cord for the spotlights is painted blue, so it's hard to see.

You people who live on a spinning ball in a vacuum lack a lot.
Primarily a lack of scruples.

There are science articles galore about artificial suns. I linked to one in my post on AE, where my stalker saw it.
Auntie grav's little shadow.
Here is my full response. My little shadow neglected to post the link. Why did you do that, little shadow?

You build a frame with dozens of yuuge spotlights, hook it to a helium-filled high altitude balloon (skyloon),fly it to the stratosphere. Ta da. Fake sun. The Germans may have been the first. No, the US-NWO black ops guys prolly were first. Now the Chinese copycats. Not an easy thing to do now for amateurs. The shadow government is using up all the helium for their secret projects.

https://www.techworm.net/2018/11/china-a...l-sun.html

The EAST has been dubbed as “artificial sun” since it replicates the process used by the sun to produce energy. It burns at 100 million degrees Celsius, which is over six times hotter than the core of the sun. The temperature of the real sun’s core is at around 15 million degrees Celsius. The state-of-the-art reactor is designed to turn hydrogen into cost-effective green energy.

Edit. Here is the German artificial sun.

What a loon !

So this "fake Sun" orbits tens of thousands of miles each day, oh and UNDER the Dome, has no power cord and uses Helium that never loses it's power to stay aloft like we know birthday balloons to do ?

Maybe it has a UUGGE generator hanging below it that powers the Sun ? They would need to refuel it each day, but that could be faked . They could pretend they are refueling Fighter Jets ! They could top up the Helium at the same time !

What a strange, twisted and scary place it must be in Gravs head ! 37.gif

FD? Srzly? Are you here pushing your weight around?
Take a spirit level and spin it around over your head while riding a Cyclotron and see how well your model works.

İmage

1. clouds don't move during the 5-hour transit
2. size of the US is wrong -- at 3000 miles wide, it should be 3/8th the diameter of the blue sphere (8000 miles)
3. moon is 2-dimensionally flat and does not rotate clockwise as advertised by Nasa
4. moon travels in a straight line while the EPIC "geostationary" satellite maintained an amazing fixed position
5. earth exhibits a curious pareidolia in the appearance of an angry clown with one eye closed and the other one open and baleful (the dark object off the coast of California)
Overall, a slipshod product, its many glaring peculiarities a test of human discernment.

NASA went to great lengths to explain that was a COMPOSITE rendering, made up using multiple STILL shots as an EDUCATIONAL DEMONSTRATION TOOL ! Wasted time it seems !

mmm, yeah, Nasa went to great lengths to make a  cgi piece of cartoon crap that no Hollywood movie director would stand for. Educational? oh my stars and garters, lol,  lmao.gif

Yes sirree, Bob. It DEMONSTRATED something, all right. It proved once again than Nasa can spend $52 million a day on bs. And the taxpayers don't even pay attention. Because Russian collusion, Iran, the usual shiny objects that fill sheeple minds.

Hey, shill, what is your share of the $52 million? A salary or a commission?

İmage

Tell us again, Nasa fanboy, just for kicks -- "It's Photoshopped, but it has to be."
