I'd rather have a direct hit that on the "dirty" side. Seriously, I've been through 3-hurricanes...

Hey Taco! How doin? I've never seen a hurricane and don't want to, just hoping it isn't a repeat of 2005. What's the 'dirty side'?

Howdy doo Shadow, hurricanes rotate counter clock wise. So it's like a whipping action they wind up and as they it does it picks up speed and slings tornados off it everywhere where the "clean side" wind velocity is lower

Kind of like water skiing, as the boat turns and you go on the outside and pick up speed.

LoL, sorry have 2-conversations going on right now. 1-work related and the storm now in the Gulf and project setbacks. Most everybody evacuated the platforms... Anyway sort of funked up that sentencing/sorry...

I looked it up but could not find a decent answer, half of the answers were wrong anyway. JR can tell you better probably...

Nice analogy right there Taco cheers.gif

Never been in hurricane area myself, but we do get tropical storm force winds sometimes. Not too often thankfully.

Like Hurricane Ike came right up the center of Houston. Me in the west side was hit pretty hard where the east side where Kennedy was considered the dirty side and the devastation was much more intense.

Isaac looks like it'll go right over the Bayou Corne sinkhole, wonder if that'll affect it?

Forgot about that thing, probably stall drilling operations to case and plug the "hole" Hurricanes are bad but it's afterwards that's worse.

Looks like Bayou Corne will be on clean side of it, regardless won't do it any good...

We refuse to look at peoples Ip's unless they are spammers and we have to ban a range. Too much work, and we want to keep things open for any whistle blowers. We could care less where or who anybody is, or where they are from; as long as they don't spam.

Extreme Northern Vermont.

I can see Canada from my kitchen.

Been very dry.

My brother,
who lives next door, had his spring well go dry.

Never happened before.

My well is lower on the land,
so, I still have water.

Need some rain.

A good, slow, soaking rain.
