The core of the concept revolves around volunteer activities and just being good neighbours. The idea is to lower the threshold to getting out and enjoying life with others, on a jog or an impromptu picnic, any activity whatsoever.
A recent street survey in central Ostrobothnia asked people what they think would make this "Good Day" particularly good. Many said seeing friends, visiting the sick and elderly, or just cooking a meal with someone.
Also high on the list were very simple ways to brighten the day - asking "how are you?”, sharing a hug, or giving someone a smile.
We all have something to give. You can organize a brisk walk or give 5-minute shoulder rubs. Or simply walk around your city with a stupid grin on your face that says HEI, have a Good Day!
Have a great day my friends!
